And for some reason my husband and I continued to buy trees from a lot even though we lived on 50 acres in Vermont - until the Christmas my husband had to go to a family funeral a long way away. The children went out in the woods and found what turned out to be a special balsam - it had a bird's nest very near the top - a bird's nest with wool from our sheep and hair from our pony - that nest has a special place in our tree every year. |
