| Kathy from Williamsburg, OH USA says: | See others from this town | 11-01-2009 | | | | When I was a young girl age 12 our family didn't have alot of money. My younger brother age 8 and I walked up the rail road tracks to the woods along the side of the tracks and we cut down a Christmas tree an old spruce tree we dragged the Christmas tree home and it had a huge bald spot it didn't matter it would face the walll Dad put the tree on a stand and we decorated the Christmas tree with threaded popcorn strands and made our ornaments. It didn't matter what would be under that tree for Christmas because we had each other. Mom and Dad always made candies and cookies and Dad would play his piano and we would all sing Christmas songs. Me and my little brother went Christmas caroling around our little neighborhood. When we grew up we always went home with our families to Mom and Dads for christmas Eve and our tradition was singing Christmas songs while dad played the piano. Now we have the sweetiest choir of newphews neices, grandchildren. There is alot of Love in our small town on Christmas Eve. May the music and Love surround all your Christmas with family and love ones. May God Bless you everyone. |
