| Kasey from Cerritos, CA USA says: | See others from this town | 01-03-2010 | | | | When I was around 11 years old we lived in a small costal town north of Los Angeles, CA. My mother worked for a doctor in town and I what remember the most is when mom would take me to the doctor's. There was an old-fashioned town square with shops and offices around the square. Mom would park the car in the old style pull-in parking spots in front of the business's. It always seemed that around Christmas she would find a parking spot in front of the toy store. They had a doll about the size of a 6 month old baby in her own bassinet. I fell in love with her and named her "Christy" and always had to stop and say "hello" to "my baby." Needless to say I was one happy little girl when I woke up Christmas morning and "Christy" was waiting for me under the tree with her bed. I still have her. I have her put away on a shelf in a closet, but always stop by at Chritmas time to say "Hello." Every time I see an old-fashioned town square on TV or a magazine I remeber the Christmas "Chirsty" came to live with me. |
