I was next to the youngest boy, so was able to observe many traditions during my "growing up" years. Since most of the boys went into the service, many holidays we were away from home. On several occassions, my parents left our live tree up until the end of February for one of us that was not home for the holidays. What a treat that was! We would have another "Christmas Family Celebration". Mom would have left it up longer for someones homecoming if we had artificial trees back then! |
